Clara & Jason’s Summer Couples Photoshoot at Centennial Park

I am so excited to be sharing my first blog post as a NASHVILLE PHOTOGRAPHER!! I’ve been dying to share these photos from this couples photoshoot in Nashville—which just so happened to take place at the iconic Centennial Park. I feel so lucky that it was also with the loveliest couple of all time, Clara and Jason!!

These two wanted to get some updated photos done to celebrate the fact that they started dating ten years ago—so exciting!!! I was honored to be the one to capture such an amazing milestone for them at what is quickly becoming one of my favorite photoshoot locations in Nashville. Now that I live here, I can’t believe I get to take photos at Centennial Park anytime I want!!

We shot these photos at the tail end of summer, so it was definitely warm, but the greenery was gorgeous. The trees were blooming, the grass was vivid, and the energy was high. Clara and Jason laughed through the whole photoshoot, and I laughed right along with them. They were such a joy to work with and it was so hard narrowing down some of my favorite photos of them to share in this blog post!!

My Favorite Locations for Couples Photos at Centennial Park

There are so many good spots around Centennial Park to take couples photos. We decided to loop around Lake Watauga when we first walked into the park and start with photos there. I was immediately dying over how precious Clara and Jason were!! I’m obsessed with the outfits they chose for this location; they complimented the colors in the park perfectly. After taking some photos by the lake, we headed over to the Parthenon. If you’re not from the area, this is probably the most well-known spot in Centennial Park! Since Jason and Clara are Nashville locals, we thought it’d be fitting to grab some photos over here.

The columns on the Parthenon make for such an epic backdrop. We got to do some sitting poses over here to mix it up, and I just love how happy these two look together. I mean, see for yourself!!

There’s also a great grassy area just next to the Parthenon where we could have the building in the backdrop for some wider, epic shots. I mean, these are just meant to be framed and hung on the wall!! Clara and Jason said that’s exactly what they intend to do with these—which, as a photographer, is just the biggest compliment!!

I absolutely loved capturing these couples photos in Centennial Park—I mean, I couldn’t ask for a more perfect summer night with a more perfect couple. But we decided we wanted to hit one more spot for photos in Nashville before wrapping up for the night… on to the next location!!

Couples Photos in a Field Outside Nashville, Tennessee

To capture even more Nashville couples photos, we hopped in the car and drove south to what might be my new favorite middle Tennessee field location for photos. We walked down a little trail and were so excited to see we had this gorgeous Tennessee field all to ourselves!!

Since it was one of those humid, end-of-summer days, we actually shot this last set of photos super quickly; we were all sweating at this point!! But Clara and Jason were such good sports and we actually had a blast playing around with movement in these photos. That’s one of the reasons I love big, open fields like this so much for couples photos in the Nashville area—there’s so much room to run and play!!

I love being a Nashville photographer; there’s so many picturesque locations around here, all within a thirty minute drive of the city. It’s honestly a photographer’s dream!! I love that in the span of just over an hour, we got to take Jason and Clara’s couples photos at Centennial Park and in this dreamy, wide open space.
